Senior Front-End Developer – New York, NY
Job Description
We’re looking for a skilled front-end developer. This position requires both a mastery of the hands-on aspects of web interface engineering, as well as an ability to design solid front-end architectures that integrate with other systems and technologies; and, the ability to communicate these solutions to other members of the team both verbally and in written documentation.
Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the design of client side engineering solutions; the hand coding of web-based applications, web pages, emails, and web-based mobile experiences; integrating your code with other technologies (Flash, Web Services, client back-end systems, content management systems, etc); optimizing performance of front-end applications; and working with visual designers, interaction designers and software engineers. Must be able to emulate existing html schemes and create new ones that will integrate well with existing HTML. Strong XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, DHTML.
Skills Requirements:
• A curiosity and excitement for new web technologies / techniques.
• A strong passion for the front end as a mix of art and science.
• Extensive experience in hand coding, no WYSIWYG coding.
• The ability to write standards compliant XHTML & CSS with thought given to accessibility and SEO.
• Solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and code solutions.
• Practical understanding of HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience using JS Frameworks (jQuery, MooTools, YUI, etc…).
• Writing well-formed, unobtrusive JS with scalability and extensibility in mind.
• Knowledge/ experience with front-end performance optimization (YSLOW standards).
• Experience working with AJAX and services/ API’s to serve up dynamic and data-heavy content.
• Some experience with server-side scripting (PHP, .Net, Java, etc…).
• Excellent debugging and problem solving skills (use of Firebug plug-in, Charles Web Proxy).
• Experience with source control (SVN, GitHub, or Mercurial).
• Excellent time management, problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow technical specifications and production processes.
• Must be available to work on site.
A plus for:
• Experience / familiarity with integrating major 3rd party APIs (Facebook Open Graph, Twitter, Google Maps, YouTube, Open Social, etc…).

Interaction Design Director – New York, NY
At CarbonFoot Interactive LLC, Interaction Designers are integral to the creative process and play pivotal roles in the strategy, conception and design of groundbreaking multi-context platforms. We are seeking Interaction Designers of all levels who have experience connecting customers and brands through intuitive interfaces and trans-formative brand experiences. Preference will be given to people who demonstrate a combination of strategic, conceptual and design skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams in the creation of best-in-class user experience
- Help define business opportunities and translate insights into consumer-facing experiences
- Enable the creation of concept models, user interface sketches, and schematics.
- Provide leadership, training, and mentor-ship to other Interaction Designers
Qualifications:
- Several examples of successfully launched projects which demonstrate strategic, conceptual and creative thinking
- At least 5+ years experience in an Interaction Design role
- A solid understanding and demonstration of user centered design principles
- Demonstrated ability to lead the design of large + complex systems of interactions
- A good understanding of what types of experiences are made possible by current digital technologies
- Able to develop simple and elegant design approaches to complex design problems

Account Director- Westport, CT
The Account Director is responsible for the development of ongoing business relationships from the prospect stage through existing account management. The Account Director leads and manages a large piece of business and client engagements. The position is responsible for the overall client satisfaction, quality of service, and on-time, on-budget completion of the agency’s services.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Manage solid client relationships and provide key strategic initiatives/thinking, accountable for account growth, client satisfaction, and retention through identifying client’s requirements and develop accountable marketing programs to deliver business results and developing and executing an engagement strategy in collaboration with the team and discipline leads. Act as CarbonFoot Interactive LLC lead on cross-agency integrated marketing programs, by participating in multi-agency briefs and work sessions, contributing to overall planning process, representing the interactive opportunity, defining interactive tactics within programs/campaigns, and creating campaign plans.
Manage account P&L from negotiating statements of work and retainers, making sure work is delivered on budget, and invoicing clients according to the proper terms, and increasing ROI for the agency.
Independently lead and make decisions that properly balance the needs of account such as those of clients, internal goals and teams.
Plan all engagements including goals, deliverables, schedules and budgets by managing the workflow process with support from agency producers by prioritizing projects and resources and by working across accounts to and ensure that teams are staffed appropriately.
Serve as a new business resource and actively pursue new revenue sources as well as participate in strategic development of new business such as RFP responses and proposal writing.
Manage implementation of integrating offerings and tools and identify opportunities for cross-platform deals, when appropriate
Manage the Client Services team which includes: providing adequate training, overseeing and conducting performance reviews, resolving issues/problems, rotating staff, and providing salary recommendations.
Ensure the use of “best practices” and effective processes across the department and agency.
Pre-Requisites:
- Proven negotiation skills experience, especially contract negotiations, with both clients and partners
- Excellent public speaking skills and experience
- Experience with communications and marketing via the Internet
- Strong knowledge of web development technologies
- Knowledge of quality assurance process
- Ability to develop strong relationships with clients by gaining trust and repeated successful delivery of expectations
- Ability to foster strong, cohesive working interdisciplinary teams of more than 30 people
- Aptitude to define solutions that will generate measurable results for the client
- Thorough knowledge of the principles of advertising, marketing and media. A basic knowledge of disciplines underlying these principles, i.e., psychology, economics, journalism
- Thorough knowledge of the dynamics of digital and interactive. How each digital and interactive element performs alone, how they perform together and how they are constantly changing
- Ability to use alternative analytical approaches to solve digital/interactive/marketing problems
Qualifications:
- 7 to 10 years in the industry or related experience in developing interactive projects and managing large creative team and clients
- Experience with various projects types, including web, mobile, video, brand, and strategic consulting
- Proven track record of managing large accounts successfully
